Bringing hope to people affected by vision loss and blindness.

Centre of Eye Research Australia conducts research with real-life impact and finding ways to prevent vision loss and blindness. Their goal is to prevent vision loss – and ultimately, find ways to help restore sight. As true innovators their scientists are on the brink of new discoveries every day.

I was commissioned to design two publications, one was a 100 page publication outlining the company's structure, values, strategic plan, research team profiles, fundraising, communications and research themes. The other a 12 page publication that would be distributed to company donors in order to maintain their engagement and trust in the company and to encourage further donations and support.

I worked collaboratively with the communications departments, researchers and the Managing Director, information and data gathering, pagination, design of each page, layout, infographics, graphs and images ensuring everything was accurate and on brand. The brand presence was maintained through colours, fonts and curved elements from the logo.

The results was a comprehensive, text-heavy document which maintained the brand guidelines and put our best foot forward for the panel to review. The document despite being text-heavy was designed in a way to maintain engagement of the reader through use of colours and alternating layouts to maintain a more dynamic flow. The panel feedback was mainly positive and the company stands out well in its internal functions and relations between researchers and other departments as well as the research that has been carried out.
